I just picked up a generic 12v solenoid, with plans to convert my 300d over, but this is way more elegant than my underhood wiring skills (as seen on my CD, which I converted a couple of years ago).

Hadn't thought about building any... shoot then i would have to get myself a gray coat with a Mercedes emblem and start making youtube videos, not that there is anything wrong with that.
why are you planning on converting yours over? just reliability?
