Swamp, wow. Here in the center of Northern NJ, just a hop skip and a jump, our kids are 15 and 13 and were definitely taught cursive in the public schools ages ago. Now, there's no no requirement to use it because most of their work these days is on computer, but that was surprising to read, so close to where we are.
