You could drink several new craft beers a day and not keep with the beers entering the market.
Still, there are a few old standbys. One from NoCal that comes to mind is Anchor Porter from SF. Bready-malty-yeasty goodness. Get it in a 22 oz. bomber if you can. Much better flavor than the 12oz.
Feeling experimental try anything from Dogfish Head. Oddball, out there recipes that for me miss as often as they hit. I love their Palo Santo Marron, in small and infrequent quantities. So strong and intense that the wife and I often split one, poured into two snifters.
