... But the kingpin (also called steering knuckle) itself is different....
According to EPC my car should have part 18 as shown in the W111 diagram, while in fact it has something that looks much more part 15. Both parts are unique to W110 / W111 cars...
In the W108 diagram, Part 32 is unique to W108 and W109 cars (and W111 coupes only and W113 cars).
So I'm left with the odd situation of the W111 diagram showing something different than what my car has - front disks with the kingpin from a front drum, and also the kingpin in EPC that looks like the 108 kingpin being different from a the kingpin shown in the W108 diagram...
So _maybe_ the kingpin can be swapped, but it isn't the same part, which makes me wonder what other parts are different...
