190 E has M102.982 (2.3) engine with KE-Jetronic injection system (CIS-E). 201.024 (up to MY1986) with KE II & TSZ inginition system and 201.028 (from MY1987-88 & MY1991-93) with KE III (fault reading (federal)/fault memory & reading "On board diagnose" (for California)) & EZL ignition system. All 102.985 equipped with hydraulic valve clearance adjusters.
230 CE has M102.980 (2.3) engine with K-Jetronic (CIS) & TSZ ignition system.
