If the doc prescribes rehab ......DO THE REHAB ! I know every situation is somewhat different (I had a torn cuff + bone spurs, surgery was done under anesthetic, shoulder was sliced, arm in 90 degree sling for 6 weeks) and my outcome after rehab was better than the doc had predicted. A friend had surgery, thought rehab was too much trouble and now has an almost immobile arm.

Do the rehab.
