I can sympathize with you as well..I recently spent $1700 just replacing electronics and fully servicing my w210 tranny. Runs and shifts perfect and its still original for the most part. I hope it holds a while. I hear a w210 can be $4-5 grand for rebuilds and $7 grand for new.

I miss my cheaper w124 big time!!!!! and mostly for its heated seats it had! But I do love this cold a/c in my w210
