I gave the "predicted" 10 million medical vacation travelers some thought. Back in 2012, there were approximately 300 million or less folks in the good ol'e USA. I will use 300 million since that is a nice, round number. Our current regime claimed there are around 40 to 50 million uninsurred folks in the USA. So, I will assume there are 250 million folks who have insurance. So, out of those 250 million, 10 million are going overseas for health care? By my ciphering, that's 10/250 or 1 out of 25. I am a little suspicious of those numbers. Who knows, maybe 1 out of 25 does in fact go overseas for their health care. Or, maybe it's the folks who do not have health insurance; that is, they do not get USA insurance since they are saving their pennies to go overseas for their health care. That puts the numbers in at 10/50 or 1 out of 5. Hmmm ...

So, if I had the choice between Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, the greatest in my book vs. book a hospital suite at one of the Apollo chain in India ... I am thinking Johns Hopkins is the winner.

I am surprised that with all the world class health care and hospitals not in the USA, so many folks are not leaving this country ? I wonder why the illegals stop in the USA and not go a little further north to Canada ?
