It might be worthwhile whinging to ebay about the buyer who didn't buy - you might be able to get some discount for the next advert (but look out for those flying pigs).

just had a very interesting conversation with a useful ebay guy, and I do have few options.

First one I hadn't considered was the possibility of sending a second chance offer to the next highest bidder after my 48 hour time limit, not ebays resolution time limit.

The guy was explaining I can do both my nailing to the wall of the original bidder, and a second chance offer, but only have waiting out a 2 day period to open a non payment case, and a 4 day period to wait for it to close (and the guy to potentially respond), THEN I could nail the first guy to the wall with the infraction, and make a second chance offer to the next guy in line.

however, if time is critical to get rid of the item, I can skip that and just make a second chance offer immediately to someone else. The downside is I can't infract the first guy, but I consider it a better trade off since I need to get this car out of the way.

The one thing I can't do, is set up an non payment case and make a second chance offer while the case is still open it turns out. If I do that and sell the car to the second buyer, and at the end of the case the first buyer eventually pays before the time limit, then now its my fault and I have to provide the item to both people. (hard to do with a car )

I have to say, ebay customer support is a lot better than it was, they are really helpful on the phone
