That is the hugest break I've ever seen!

If this is another of those threads that is saying its because of corrupt democratic party government the water main broke I will have to disagree. I don't think there is any such thing as preventative maintenance. I suspect in this case the freeze was just so deep it broke the pipe.


Old water pipes do break, we have them pretty often here. Replacing all of them Would be hugely expensive especially for a declining city.
