You may want to have a small hammer, or the handle of a small screwdriver (wrapped in something soft), to hit the red buttons with to snap them free. The buttons can be VERY hard to get to move with finger-presssure alone. (Credit to Charmalu for that tip.)

Also two sets of hands is way better than one for reinstalling the seat bottom.

A magnetic parts tray is very useful, but an empty coffee can or margarine tub, etc., is a real headache-avoider when working with screws or other hardware. I used to leave stuff on the carpet but apparently Mercedes carpets eat screws and washers.
