I also wanted to second the dye idea. If you are good with an aerosol can. SEM has a dead on color match and so Leatherique which is an even better kit. The key is the preparation. If you were to dye your Palomino and it were to be MB Tex for instance I find Simple Green to be a great way to clean it. Yes, it sounds like a bad idea but I have great results in the past. It is important to spray a god protectant on it afterwards though with something like Aerospace 303 protectant. I wouldn't recommend Simple Green on real leather though and would say it is a HUGE no. The options are always available. I have great knowledge in upholstery restoration and working with what you have.
