It's been under two years since it was installed by a local shop that gets their trannies from them, so it should be covered under warranty.
Hopefully...

Update: It took some emails and phone calls but had gotten the tranny warrantied. All I had to do was the R&R myself. Found out whomever installed it originally had dropped a portion of the filmed seal from the tranny fluid container into the tranny and it eventually caused the governor to explode.
Thank you Marc @ Sun Valley Mercedes Transmissions for the quick no cost replacement YOU ROCK !
Pulled old to get the new. Took only ten days turn around with shipping (from N. NV to S. CA).
Jacked up in the garage ready for new tranny
rope was used to tie the exhaust ( onto the work bench) out of the way
even with taller 6 ton jack stand I had to remove the tranny from the jack to clear engine and slide it out on a blanket
no worries the tranny is about 120 lbs and I'm used to lifting weights at the gym
Good to go, ready for another 100k miles (on H&R sport springs and 18s, handles like a go-cart in corners)
though I ended up selling to a local and bought a 97 BMW 328i convertible the same color
endless process with me, buy/trade, upgrade/fix, repeat... now trying to trade my BMW for a Boxster
