Power band.... that's what tachometer measures.
Useful for climbing hills and pulling out tree stumps.... where you dont want to lug the engine at low rpm's, even downshifting the automatic for increased power.
Am guessing that my 240 standard shift gets optimum performance between 2500 and 3000 rpm.
Once again, has anybody seen or done a tach conversion from 300D to 240D? For me it's a must have item.
Hey leatherman, if you got used to driving by the tach I'll bet you didnt miss the speedometer at all.
Equipped with just a speedometer, am always shifting according to the little dots at varyious speeds.... especially when going in and out of 2nd and 3rd.
