It is nice to see MB entering the arena of vehicles that have exceptionally low fuel consumption.

They appear to offer the same or similar drive line on the GLK 250 Blue Tec which gets a stated 33/24 but I didn’t see an E class wagon with the 2.5 drive train.

By comparison to the new e class, a local dealer is offering an ’06 320 CDI with 85K on the clock, that gets a reported 36 MPG hiway for about $17.5 That’s probably indicative of what the next few years will do to the cost of the new edition.
