I was wondering if anyone knows if the setting for the control plunger screw plug depth is based on the fuel distributor itself or on the car it is attached to? I got a unit out of a junkyard and rebuilt it while I was still driving my car . the rebuild kit was $79 and the whole cis-e unit was $30 from the wrecker.
The unit I am rebuilding has a depth of .457mm
The unit that is from my car originally has a depth of .178mm
they say this measurement is very critical!
are these factory set by bosch based on distributor flow or are they factory set by mercedes on the engine? They are same part number distributors and have a difference of .279mm depth
