Mark - I am not quite sure what you are doing with your seats, but if you ever thought of dyeing your seats, I wanted to let you know I dyed my 300CD leather seats (Palomino) and they came out beautiful. I used the dye from Color Plus in Milford, Pa and actually applied the dye using a soft bristle brush. No brush marks, perfect color match, beautiful. They have been done now about 6 months and very durable. The same results were achieved dyeing a set of MB Tex seats (blue) about 1 year ago.
