Lifting weights hurts a lot of people. It is good but many people must be very cautious. A lot of the weight lifting machines are pretty stupid designs too. That doesn't help. Kinda like food in our society, gotta be careful.
Calories are the basic unit but there are smarter ways to use your calories and pretty stupid ways to use your calories. Billions of dollars are spent every year to attempt to get people to make stupid choices.
