I have found I can bend over backwards to help a true Conservative and they will stab you in the back every single time. And don't forget I work in an industry that is known for back stabbing.
So my solution is to never work with anyone I cannot trust. Screw up once and that's the end of it. Get along without my help from now on because I have all the work I can deal with now.
I live in a small town. People will call me and ask if I know such and such and would I work with them again. All it takes is one no and someone has a few years of work ahead of them to rebuild the trust others might someday have in them.
But I will trust anyone once. But that means they have to also trust me, and while I hate paying Lawyers sometimes they are worth the money.
Show business contracts cover every conceivable way to cheat someone, and there are thousands of 'standard' contracts, but people come up with new ones all the time. And oddly enough they always seem to be Conservative who think they are so much smarter than people who have been doing this for 50 years.
