I'm surprised John Shellenberg (AKA Blackmercedes) hasn't chimed in on this thread. He picked up a used 1998 E300. It broke so many times he sold it after six months. I can't recall all the problems it had, just that it went to dealer on the back of a wrecker multiple times. So I only have the second most problematic E300 on Mercedesshop.
