450SL Window Switch/Motor Diagnosis/Repair Help!

Good afternoon everybody!

A little bit of background. I have a 1980 450SL that I recently got back to life after it had sat for more than 5 years. There's a whole back story as to why, but I'll save that for later.

When we got it back up, everything seemed to be great, except one of the window switches. I knew it was the switch, b/c the left window would work, but the right wouldn't. However, when I switched the switches, the right would work and the left wouldn't. Anyway, I bought a new switch to replace the one that broke, and the first day, it was fine. I rolled the windows back up and went on my way.

However, the next time I went out, the right window would no longer work. I looked in the forum and tried a few things. First, I checked the fuse. It was fine. I even switched the fuses out and the left still worked. Then I took off the console surround and switched the inputs to the switches. When I did that, the left window continued to work with both switches, but the right one did not work with either switch.

Based on my very limited and elementary knowledge, all I can think of right now is that it may be the right window motor? I really hope not, but I don't know what else it could be.

Does anyone have any thoughts on:

1) Any thing else I can try to do to narrow it down?
2) How can I test the window motor to see if that is in fact what it is?
3) Anything else I'm not thinking of/thoughts?

Thanks everyone!
Zack
