Does anyone know why some diagnostic trouble code documents define the DM (pin 3) code 22 as crank shaft sensor and others as cam shaft? It is much easier to replace the camshaft sensor than the crankshaft sensor on my car.

The majority of the code definition documents I received on this site define code 22 as the crank shaft senssor. The StarTek Info service manual (by AG Daimler) defines code 22 as the cam shaft sensor.
