I don't shoot .22 very often. I think I have 2 or 3 525 boxes in the ammo cabinet and a bunch of .22winmag. My Marlin lever is the only .22 I have that I actually enjoy shooting.

For plinking and critters I prefer a light 9mm load any day. 3.8gn of Bullseye under a cast 115gn round nose I can load for about 4 bucks a box of 50. That load is just enough to be accurate out to 50 yards or so and reliably cycle my Mini-14 and pistols. Dirt cheap to shoot.
