Trans is fantasitc! Drove to work today, shifts like a new trans should!
Give myself a pat on the back, first sucessfull MB trans rebuild.
So i started with a trans that had questionable history
I replaced all the clutch packs with new friction disks
New B1 and B2 bands
New reverse B3 clutch pack
Replaced the K1 drum due to damage from missing bearing
Was able to restore the pump shaft on the lathe from K1 damage
Freshened up the seals, and servo actuators
Made a few special tools.
Car now has a new lease on life. Lets hope for anothet 400,000km
So now i have a spare 722.355 which has no reverse, and a slight flair from 2-3.
I think i will do a full rebuild on that and keep as a spare.
And with that do a whole video on the rebuild process
And make up a parts list to get before hand
