Plenty of cars, 50% or so had AC in the 70s and of course the 60s.
Not being able to see out your fogged-up windows? Now that would be a problem. Perhaps that is not an issue to you?
Florida's extreme humidity is a nightmare to deal with, especially w/o AC.
