Almost finished putting in the 5 new multi-link members of the rear suspension on my 190D.

Many of the bolts at the hub came with compression sleeves, which I installed.

However, one of the members has a tapered ball joint connection at the hub, in what appears to be a tapered hole. The kit came with a compression sleeve for that hole (the old member came out without a sleeve), but when I inserted it, it got kind of mangled because of the taper.

Can I do without this compression sleeve?
