I'm in the process of replacing a head gasket on a 1997 c230. I have the head off the engine and disassembled. There are 2 brass fittings on the left side of the cylinder head where the crankcase ventilation hose goes into. Are these valves and how do they operate. I don't see any way for anything to come out of them as they seem sealed at the top.
