I bought my '83 300CD turbo for about $2,000 less than the service records $ from previous 2 years or so, trans, radiator, ps pump, tires, etc. Even had the wrench set for valve adjustment under spare - didnt know what they were even for a few years. Car had just under 200,000 miles when I bought it, 14 years ago. biggest expense was front end suspension worn out & rear axle rubber boots (<- new halfshafts).
