95 should still have a belt driven air pump ( below the alt ). Pull the pump, install 2nd alt that matches the 1st one. I'd use a single adjustable external regulator running both alts so the load is shared. If one alt is running ahead of the other, that one will be overloaded.
Here is another trick. Add a properly sized resistor across the control side of the regulator feed to the rotor. This will maintain a minimum charging level should the reg fail. The factory alt has a 180 ohm resistor across the reg to accomplish this. Your resistance may be different. Be sure the reg does not keep the rotor energized when the engine is not running.
