I just finished rebuilding the transmission on my 1986 300SDL and reverse is slow to engage and shifting through the gears is rough when it's cold. The plastic pin on my modulator was also broken, but I just replaced the pin and not the modulator. Where did you get the new style modulator? Was it used from a newer vehicle?
