(As background to this story, my parents both went to MIT)

One time I was talking with a bunch of friends, and one of them, trying to make the case for why Volvos are excellent cars, was saying how, in the '80s, engineers liked to drive Volvos -- you know, engineers from places like MIT! To this another fellow replied, "Yes, well, Harvard grads -- you know, they're driven."

I said, "Yeah -- in a bus."
