What the Mercedes-Benz dealer does (CPO vehicles)

I bought a CPO 2011 e350 Sport that was about a year and a half old, from my nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer.

The car had been leased new from Downtown LA Motors Mercedes-Benz, and then turned in to the dealer @20k. It was due for an oil change every 10k and the lessor only changed the oil once, @10k.

But as part of the Mercedes-Benz CPO process, @20k the oil was changed, and everything else needed for the MB CPO certification - which is pretty strict - was performed.

Then, fully serviced, it was offered to me as a CPO unit, and I bought it. But, I changed its oil every 3k after that, and had no problems.

Except one.

The car felt competent, but BORING.

A few hundred miles before the big 40k service, I drove it, fully detailed, down to the BMW dealer nearby.

Came out with THIS. (new 535i M sport)

It is, as they say in the Southwest, "slicker than snake spit".
