Well we pulled the trigger yesterday. 97 S500 with 78,000 miles. All dealer records showed up on carfax, and it never sat...just drove 2500 miles a year for the least 12 years. The car really is beautiful, but we had to drive a few hours to get there. When I test drove it, I found 2 issues, but I decided not to break the deal over it since it was hard to find a good one with this low of mileage. The front seat heaters do not turn on...I don't know much about this chassis yet, but both fronts do not work (the lights don't come on for lo or hi on the switches). The rears work fine. I also noticed a slight suspension squeak in the back....sounded like a dry bushing. The guy I bought it from said to take it in and have an estimate done and he would pay for the rear suspension noise. I know LCAs and sway bar links were already done according to the dealer records, so it's probably just another bushing. Man....I love these cars....they drive so nice you feel like you own the road! Any ideas on the front seat heaters?
