Pulled the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator, started the car and waited a couple minutes. Suddenly fuel came pouring out of the regulator nipple. Coincidentally the fuel pressure regulator picks up its vacuum from intake runner No. 8 which was why I kept getting the black plug. I have yet to replace the regulator and see How it idles.
