I may have finally found my problem! I pulled the turbo charger and the exhaust manifold off the engine. The exhaust manifold was leaking at the bottom of #6, #4 exhaust ports. That’s part of my noise. The turbo charger has bad bearings and the oil seals are shot and that is part of where my oil has been going. But what I was able to see with all of that stuff out of the way is that my engine mounts are bad on the right side of the engine. The shock mount is just touching the steel shell of the mount that bolts to the frame. That is one known source for the knocking I have been hearing.

So I have ordered all the parts I need to fix everything. I have a way I can check the mounts to make sure that is the knock issue. So today has been very productive. I’d rather not have to pull the engine if I can help it. Even if it’s not the problem and I have to change the engine, everything I’m doing would have to be corrected anyway so it’s all good.
