Well I just picked up a '87 300 turbo complete less the IP. Looking at the engine, I don't think it's even had the valve cover off of it. My existing 350 is missing so many parts it's unreal. The yard had a second engine, the top was clean but below the intake and exhaust it was caked in oil; I left it there. The turbo is tight and shows no sighs of oil leaks. I'll do a quick rebuild to change the seals and bearing but I have a good feeling about this engine.
Finaly found some Diesel Purge. I'll run a couple of cans through the 350 as a last resort (SeaFoam did nothing) before setting everything up to do a transplant with the 300. If I do that, then the questions will really start to come. LOL. Did some searching and found many good posts on that process so far. More reading to do.
