I'm sometimes troubled by the way some seemingly lust for that glory and camaraderie that can come from war. One could have asked George Patton about how hard it is to find a good hot war. In Vietnam, we cycled officers in and out a good bit faster than enlisted personnel because officers need that combat experience, and for that, you need a war.
