Drones are going to be used to patrol railroads, pipelines, fiber optic lines and electrical lines. They will not get tired and will never need to find a remote spot to touch down on and take a break.

They will also be able to patrol on a constant basis and not just once a week.

Public safety will be enhanced since the DOT says that about 85% of all damage caused to transportation or fiber systems is caused by someone digging them up due to working in a hurry and not filing a dig report.

Drones will also reduce the cost of producing a film or television show. Crane shots are expensive, helo shots even more so.

Lower cost, greater public safety..... Sounds good to me.
