Have higher temp tolerance/resistance than some OEM brake pads. Repeated braking produces lots of heat, thus lower heat resistant pads effectiveness ("bite") is reduced due to heat . Apprarently, the new Green EBC's are formulated with Aramid Fibre (Kevlar) compound albeit along with other proprietary compound formula which supposedly is one of the EBC brake compound responsible for less brake dust.
