I don't think I would have remained sane after the ordeal. I doubt I would have taken the high road here.
I've had dealings in the past with Children's Services, but they've seemed to end well. None of it was against me, but the welfare of the kids wasn't up to par a number of times when they lived with their mom. Lack of food, physical abuse, verbal abuse, etc. I'm just glad it worked out on my side in the end.
My heart really goes out to that family.
