I will have to give it a closer look. I think there is minimum damage on the edge but I did not see any bare metal.

If you look at the picture with the whole block the scratch is not there so I do not think there is actually a scratch on the piston.

If you look at the picture of the whole head it is not like that. That was from sitting over night before I got close up pictures.
Are you guys trying to get me to pull the block now and do a bigger rebuild?

I hope it is not necessary.
