There are other cameras in a similar price range that have built in GPS which will record both the speed and location. This guy's reviews seem to be the definitive source of dash cam info.

The Mini 0803 and Mobius are the main competitors to the camera I got. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. I like the one I got because it has 2.7" display on the back to for play back.
