If you're in town and you're allowed to trap them trapping and putting them down might be the easiest and most humane way. Don't use leg traps those are terrible.
If you don't want to kill them, I've heard that peeing around your preimiter will keep them away.

I found a pump action bb gun/rifle and will use that. Haven't seen the targets for a few days. Mebby they read the thread and moved on...
I'm reminded. How does one correct the sight? The bb rifle i have shoots high and right. The front site is fixed but the rear adjusts l/r and u/d
As an aside, i came across an article that says that the BATF views some bb guns as fire arms. Accordingly, some of the recent edition AK impersonators made by Airsoft can be retro-fitted to use bullets.
