As an aside, i came across an article that says that the BATF views some bb guns as fire arms. Accordingly, some of the recent edition AK impersonators made by Airsoft can be retro-fitted to use bullets.

Some guy proved that one particular AR15 replica could be converted to temporarily shoot .22s, or something. That doesn't make your pump Daisy a firearm by a long shot.
Shooting high and right? EZ PZ, aim low and left.
