I'm still not a fan of driver aids, but this technology will have its buyers. There will be a certain subset of current steering wheel holders who would prefer a car that drives itself. I don't think they're too far away from getting what they want. Next question: If you're in a car that drives itself, in which all you do is punch in a destination and the car does the rest, can/should you still be able to get a DUI if you do so while soused? This may soon be a very non-academic question in my neck of the desert.
