Did not have reverse, or should I say, didn't feel the car going into reverse.
didn't go forward either. shut off, restart, back to normal.

A) the fluid must not be no more than a few years old.

Measure the fluid with the testing dipstick, was within range.

Was full of oil when I got the car, prompting the replacement of the electrical seal.

E) if you removed just the fluid. I would remove the circular connector, and replace it too..
already done, when I got the car, the TCM was full of oil. I cleaned it several times. I do have a spare, so I can swap it out should the car misbehave again.

All the best,

Martin
no water (didn't see any on the dipstick.

Car has 227K miles, maybe it is the conductor plate. Is there a test I can do with Xentry?

I erased the codes, cleaned the TCM connector with contact cleaner, I noticed a little bit of residual oil on the pins, and plan on driving the car today.
