Well, the answer to that is easy. California was in the hands of Republicans for too many years and they let the system go to pieces. Reagan once said the only mistake he ever made was spending too many years as a Democrat, and now the voters in California have come to understand that the biggest mistake they ever made was turning the government over to the Republicans.
It will take a few years to correct the damage the Republicans did to the state, so hang in there. Things will get better now that the Governator is gone.
