Hopefully this will not shock anyone, but a lot of your Hollywood heros have feet of clay. The person you see on the screen may, or may not, be closer than you think.

Show-biz people are measured by different rules among themselves than among the auds. One thing I hear a lot is: How did your last project do? As long as someone is making truckloads of money for you then your personal foibles are quite likely to be overlooked, and the talents in this business have more than enough foibles to go around.

I work with a lot of people I would never hang out with and I hang out with a lot of people I would never work with. But I don't judge their personal lives.

Except for one area: How much did their last picture do? But that is business and not personal. As long as you can keep the two from becoming one then you will do OK.

And that applies to whatever line of work you are in.
