Sorry for taking so long, just been busy.

Ended up buying the shifter from the 71' for $65 on eBay. I only found one for a 69', and the guy wanted $700!!! No thanks. Are trim/interior pieces for 115's really getting that scarce?

Anyways, the linkage on my 69' is an "H" pattern with 1st through 4th gears, and you pull up on the floor mounted shifter and put it in 1st gear position to shift into reverse. Although the shifter from the 71' looked nearly identical, it messed up the shifting positions. 1st through 4th gear are the same, but reverse no longer requires pulling the shifter up and is where first gear used to be (the "H" pattern still applies, revers is just at the top and to the left of the "H" now. It's a pain to shift now and requires precision and paying close attention.

I'm going to keep using the 71' shifter, just so I can drive my car, but I am still definitely looking for a 69' floor mounted shifter, and would be incredibly grateful if anybody here finds one or has any info on why the 71' shifter is performing differently. Thanks, hope everyone is having a great weekend.
