Well now I can answer my own question.... Visiting my father currently in NH and it was sleeting/snowing tonight on the way back to his house from the restaurant. Now I have off-brand "touring" type tires on the car that have maybe 40% tread left. Yowza, not so good in these conditions!! I guesstimate that this is due largely to the tires. She will slip, slide, spin like mad if I am not super gentle and careful with the go-pedal. At least the handling is very predictable and I can see how good snows and a little weight in the trunk will fix her right up. RT
